Who we are

Our Mission, Core Values, Vision + Strategy

Our Mission

The mission of King's Cross Community Church is to follow Christ, together, in His mission of renewing life for the glory of God.

Our Vision

Our vision is to see the gospel of Jesus Christ renew Springboro and the surrounding area - beginning with us and expanding outward to our families, neighborhoods, networks, industries, and ultimately the world.

Our Strategy

We live out our mission through: Worship. Connect + Equip. Serve.

Follow Christ: We worship God on Sundays, and everyday.
Together: We connect people to God, to community and to mission, and equip followers of Christ.
Renew Life: We serve our neighbors by sharing the gracious gospel in word and deed.

Our Four Core Values

Radical Hospitality

We desire that people would know they are thought of, wanted, and can ‘belong’ before they ‘believe.’

Rooted Theology

Everything we do is seen and accomplished through the lens of Scripture and the interpretation of time-tested reformed theology.

Relational Discipleship

Christianity is a belief system that is taught through the investment of relationships who grow through reading Scripture, praying with, and intentionally walk through life together.

Real Life As Mission

‘Mission’ is not just going somewhere to share faith. Faith is shared at the dinner table, at school, work, the sideline of a soccer game and serving your neighbor. Your faith is to be lived out in every aspect of real life.

Our Mission in Greater Detail

Follow Christ

We are Christ-Centered. We seek to follow him in all of life and become more like him.

Christ is at the center of everything we do. We follow a living King and Savior, who through his life, death, and resurrection restored our relationship with God and has given us renewed life. This good news of Jesus, the gospel, shapes who we are and how we live.
therefore, by God’s grace, we will;
  • Love God with all our heart, soul, mind, & strength. (Mark 12:30).
  • Root ourselves in Scripture (Psalm 1), seeing Christ as he is revealed in His Word (Luke 24:27).
  • Proclaim Christ and pursue Christ-centered worship (Acts 5:42).
  • Prioritize prayer and spiritual formation (Ephesians 6:10-18).
  • Grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ (2 Peter 3:18).
  • Seek to live in humble reliance upon God (Philippians 2:1-11, James 4:6,10) and give every aspect of our life as an offering to God. (Romans 12:1-2).

Together

We are community-focused. We seek to connect the disconnected to God, his community, and his mission of renewing life, and to equip followers of Christ.

Christ invites us into a relationship with himself and with one another. God has created us for interpersonal connection and discipleship. This is where God’s work of growth and transformation takes place.
therefore, by God’s grace, we will;
  • Seek an authentic and healthy community that loves and cares for one another (Heb. 10:23-24, Philippians 2:4).
  • Devote ourselves to teaching, fellowship, sharing meals and praying together (Acts 2:42-47).
  • Prioritize intentional discipleship of individuals, families, all people groups and life-stages (Mt. 28:19-20)
  • Prepare the next generation of leaders (Psalm 78:4-7).
  • Equip the church for the work of ministry (Eph. 4:11-16, 2 Tim. 2:2).

Renew Life

We are committed to Christ’s mission. We seek to invite others to follow Christ through hospitality, service, and sharing the gracious gospel in ways that bring renewal in the world around us.

Christ is in the business of making all things new. He invites his followers to participate in this renewal spiritually, socially, and culturally. As Christ came to seek and to save the lost, he empowers us through his Holy Spirit to continue this work of proclaiming the good news and making disciples as he actively renews minds, hearts, and lives.
therefore, by God’s grace, we will;
  • Extend gracious welcome and hospitality to our neighbors. (Hebrews 13:2, Romans 12:13).
  • Walk in good works prepared for us to do, seeking to do good to one another and to everyone (1 Thessalonians 5:15, Ephesians 2:10, Matthew 5:16).
  • Throw parties that display gospel celebration and joy (John 15:11).
  • Be generous with our resources (2 Cor. 9:7).
  • Prioritize the spread of the gospel through the work and multiplication of the local church.
  • Share the gospel in word and deed that all may receive Jesus as King and Savior (Romans 10:13-17).
